Changelog & Roadmap
This resource evolves. Here's what's changed and what's coming next.
Recent Changes
July 2026 – Reading LLM Writing + AI Updates
Two new sections at the heart of the guide’s mission. Reading LLM Writing names the skill of critically reading AI-generated clinical text — common patterns, and a specimen-submission form for building shared vocabulary. AI Updates is a rolling feed of model changes that matter clinically, each entry risk-labeled, source-linked, and verified before publishing.
June 2026 – Goal bank to 40 goals + full pronunciation dictionary
Goal bank grew to 40 evidence-referenced goals across all 10 domains, with a client-side filter UI (support level, setting, population, ND-affirming). The /tools/ micro-apps got a real dictionary: 48,000 words from the CMU Pronouncing Dictionary, taking real-text coverage from ~62% to 92–100%.
May 2026 – Tools section + goal bank launch
Three deterministic, browser-only micro-apps: phoneme inventory analyzer, stimulability quick-check, and a ZPD story check for AI-generated text. Each shows its math and cites its sources — a reality check on confident LLM claims. Goal bank launched with the four-questions structure and per-goal evidence bases.
April 2026 – v3.0: Multi-page Field Guide
Migrated from single-page HTML to Astro-based multi-page architecture. Content organized into hybrid matrix: Foundations, Tasks, Settings, Domains, and Resources. Markdown-based authoring for easier maintenance and community contributions.
April 2026 – GEO optimization & new content sections
Added PHI Safety Check interactive tool, Model Quick Reference, Before & After documentation examples, Prompt Patterns guide, and IEP Goal Clarity Toolkit. Plus structured data, llms.txt, and updated robots.txt.
March 2026 – v2.0: Harmonic Systems rebrand
Full rebrand under Harmonic Systems. Added origin story, project showcase, updated navigation, and design polish.
March 2026 – Digital Media Literacy section
Timeline of how media has shifted, why it matters for SLPs, and where clinical communication expertise intersects with the evolving digital landscape.
March 2026 – AI chat assistant, evidence brief, prompt templates
Claude-powered chatbot with PHI detection, cross-disciplinary research summary, and copyable prompt templates.
May 2025 – Original launch
SLP/IO launched as a portfolio of speech-language pathology coding projects.
What’s Coming
- ASD Goal Bank – Individualized, non-generic goal examples for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Content elevation pass – Deepening the thinnest entries (Settings, Tasks, parts of the Glossary) with worked examples and setting-specific realities, drafted with LLM tools and reviewed clinically — the same workflow this guide teaches
- Over-reliance antipatterns – New worked examples on automation bias and authority bias: what happens when the reading stops
- ASD-specific goal expansion – The goal bank includes neurodiversity-affirming goals today; a dedicated autism-specific set with lived-experience sources is planned
- Media Literacy Toolkit – On hold; the media literacy overview stands in the meantime
Delivered from earlier roadmaps: the interactive PHI checker (on PHI Safety), the chat assistant (site-wide), and community contributions via the specimen submission form.
