Materials & Activities

Generate therapy materials, visual supports, and home programs, customized to your students.

Material creation is one of the most time-consuming parts of SLP work. LLMs can generate stimulus items, activity hierarchies, and home programs, saving you hours while keeping content individualized.

Therapy Activities

The model can generate word lists, minimal pairs, story starters, and activity structures for specific targets. Be explicit about the level, context, and constraints.

“Generate a list of 20 words with /s/ blends in the initial position, appropriate for a 6-year-old. Include a mix of 1- and 2-syllable words. Avoid words that are culturally or contextually unusual for a school-age child.”

Visual Supports

LLMs can draft the text content for:

  • Visual schedules
  • Choice boards
  • Social stories
  • First-then boards
  • Behavioral expectation charts

You’ll still need to pair the text with images appropriate for the student.

Home Programs

Generating parent-friendly carryover activities is a strong use case. The model can translate your clinical targets into everyday practice suggestions.

“I am working on [target skill] with a [age]-year-old. Suggest 5 home practice activities a parent could do in everyday routines. Keep the language simple and the activities practical. Do not include clinical jargon.”
